Walking along streams between puddles and reflections one can reach an expanse, reminiscent of the infinite flow of the Water of Life.

Caminar a lo largo de arroyos entre charcos y reflejos uno puede llegar a una espacio, que recuerda el flujo infinito del Agua de la Vida.

Über Lisa Rivas

Born in 1954 in Boston, United States, the homeland of my mother and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, the country of my father; I am the product of cross-cultural influences, experiences and dualities which find expression in my work. I studied Graphic Design in Venezuela and Fiber Art in the USA.
As a Visual Artist for over 40 years, my quest has been the mastery of the artist's tools and the investigation and understanding of Nature to express it’s complexities and wonder. Over the years, my work has deepened into a sense about “Deep Nature"—the one within the plant moving along genetic "pathways" that leads to the joyful culmination of a flower.

Nacido en 1954 en Boston, Estados Unidos, la patria de mi madre y me crié en Caracas, Venezuela, el país de mi padre; yo soy el producto de influencias culturales, experiencias y dualidades que encuentran expresión en mi trabajo. Estudié Diseño Gráfico en Venezuela y Fibra-Textile en los Estados Unidos.
Como Artista Visual por más de 40 años, mi búsqueda ha sido en la maestría de las herramientas del artista y la investigación y comprensión de la naturaleza para expresar su complejidad y maravilla. Con los años, mi trabajo ha enriquecido hacia un sentido de “Naturaleza Profunda", que dentro de la planta moviéndose a lo largo de la "vías genéticas" viene la feliz culminación de la flor.
