Taking into account the presence of technology in our homes these days, this carpet is intended to create a kind of affirmation of this new reality, arousing our curiosity to read the QRCode where we get the illustrious words of Laura Ingalls Wilder. As I am passionate about technology, I designed this carpet where i wanted to stir people’s curiosity to interact with the carpet using their smartphones, thus becoming an interactive product itself, earning a dual functionality.

Tendo em conta a presença da tecnologia nas nossas casas nos dias que correm, esta carpete visa criar uma espécie de afirmação desta nova realidade, ao mesmo tempo que desperta a nossa curiosidade para lermos o QRCode, onde obteremos uma ilustre frase de Laura Ingalls Wilder. Como apaixonada pela tecnologia que sou, desenhei esta carpete onde quis incitar a curiosidade das pessoas para interajam com a carpete usando os seus smartphones, assim se tornado um produto interactivo por si mesmo, ganhando uma dupla funcionalidade.

Über Marilia Nobrega Andrade

Marília Nóbrega Andrade, was born in Madeira, Portugal, but is currently living in United Kingdom. She graduated on University of Madeira in 2006 with a degree in Design Projection. This degree covered several areas of design, and she gained knowledge in different areas of design that ranged from graphic to product design and multimedia. She works currently as a freelance designer. Design and creation are her main passion and as a designer she favours the simplicity without underrating the detail that transforms any design into something special.

Marília Nóbrega Andrade é natural da Madeira, Portugal, mas está actualmente a viver no Reino Unido. Possui uma Licenciatura em Design/Projectação que concluiu em 2006 na Universidade da Madeira. Este curso abrange várias áreas do Design, por isso seus conhecimentos vão desde Design gráfico, Design do produto, e Multimédia. Actualmente é designer freelancer. Como designer é apologista da simplicidade mas não menosprezando o pormenor/detalhe que transforma qualquer design em algo especial. Design e criação são a sua paixão.
